Three things happen, in this order

No auto-reply loop. A named engineer owns your RFQ from the first read to the shipping document.

  1. Within 2 business hours

    Receipt confirmed

An engineer opens the file, checks it is readable, and asks only the questions that change the price.

  2. Within 24 hours

    Quote + DFM notes

Unit price, lead time, tolerances, finish and shipping term — plus anything we would change to cut cost.

  3. On approval

    Slot booked at partner factory

Production starts on payment. Day 0 is confirmed in writing, and QC documents ship with the parts.

3D geometry drives the price; 2D callouts drive the inspection. Send both when you have them.

Callouts that prevent a second email

  • Material and grade — “Al 6061” is quotable, “aluminium” is a question.
  • Quantity — including a likely second batch if you expect one.
  • Tolerance — mark only the features that matter; everything else stays at 2768-m.
  • Surface finish — anodised colour, Ra value, or “as machined” all change the process.

FAQ

Before you send

Four answers that remove most of the hesitation. Anything else, WhatsApp an engineer.

Yes. Sign an NDA before uploading and the file is opened only after the signed copy is returned. Data is shared with the partner factory on a need-to-manufacture basis, and deleted on written request.
Usually, yes — if the PDF carries dimensions. For complex 3D geometry we may ask for STEP to confirm tool access and quote accurately. Send what you have; we will tell you what is missing.
Choose “Not sure — advise me”. The engineer will propose two or three grades with the trade-offs in cost, strength and finish, and quote the recommended one.
No. Review, DFM notes and the formal quote are free. You pay only when you approve the order.
